As difficult as it is to believe, we’re due to close the books on the 2019 regular season after next week’s MIN vs SEA Monday night match-up, on December 2. And so this week we all have one more shot to:
- Add a W to our league’s 2019 record book
- To secure a Jackson Award
- To claim a seat in this year’s Playoffs AND to spoil someone’s chances to make that happen.
As things stand on the latter, let’s take a look at the current post season climate in both leagues.

NEW RULE PROPOSALS
As things stand, I am very happy with the rules that we have in place in both leagues and personally see no reason to change, nor introduce any new policies, with the exception of the following:
BLOOD SWEAT & BEERS LEAGUE
Your league was intended to have a 15-slotted roster. After I set that up, I changed your Flex player total from one to two. Unbeknownst to me, NFL.COM increased the roster total simultaneously, to 16 slots. And I didn’t realize that this had happened until WK 3. Therefore, here are the two questions that I’ll have on your 2020 ballot:
1) Do you want a 15, or a 16 player roster?
2) Do you want to keep two Flex players in your line-ups, or return to fielding lineups that are comprised of only one Flex player?
THE DRAFT LEAGUE
On our upcoming 2020 ballot, we will have the opportunity to vote to move the two division league rule from its probationary status to a permanent status, OR we can vote to return to a four division league.
Outside of the above, you are welcome to sell me on rule change suggestions between now and Saturday, December 7. To do so, please make use of the online form below.
