THE GROUP STAGE ROUND

The group stage is the opening phase of a tournament where competitors are divided into small groups and play a round-robin schedule against one another. Points are awarded (typically 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss) to determine who advances to the knockout bracket. The top two from each group automatically advance, joined by the eight best third-place finishers — a total of 32 teams entering the Round of 32.

On June 27, the group stage rounds conclude.  At that point, 16 teams will have been eliminated from the tournament.

Thereafter, I will begin to populate the bracket below with the 32 remaining teams and their knockout round matches. Updates will be rendered to the league bracket below by 8am each day!

THE LAGER LEAGUE’S KNOCKOUT ROUNDS
